Gail Orum-Alexander, Pharm.D.

is the Board Liaison to the ABHP Council on Student Affairs and Pharmacy Technician Division. Dr. Alexander is a graduate of the University of Southern California, School of Pharmacy.   She is currently the Dean, College of Science and Health and  Director of the Pharmacy Technology Program at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, Los Angeles, California. In her capacity as Vice-Chair of the Department of General Studies, she is the program director for the Pre-Healing Arts (Pre-Health Professional) Programs.  She is the chair of the Education and Academic Policy Committee of the College of Science and Health.   She holds membership in the California Society of Health System Pharmacists, where she has been active in the Committee on Goals.  Dr. Alexander is also a member of the Pharmacy Technician Educators’ Council and has served as an item writer for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination.   Her research interests include pharmacotherapeutic outcomes in minority women and the elderly as related to the management of obesity and the prevention of cancer.
